Biography
Jane Black was born August 13, 1838. She was the sister of David John Black. Careful not to confuse her with her niece (also named Jane/Jennie Black). She married Meritt McKee, who inherited the McKee Hotel. After Meritt’s death, she continued to reside in the hotel before eventually selling it to her nephews-in-law, George and William Burr.
