New Artifact Found: Civil War Letter

A remarkable piece of history has surfaced. A local historian recently uncovered a letter written by Abner Buckner Price during the winter of 1863.

In the letter, Abner describes the harsh conditions of the camp and his deep longing to return to the family farm. He mentions several names that we are currently cross-referencing with our existing records to identify further connections.

This discovery significantly enriches our understanding of our family’s perspective during the American Civil War. A high-resolution scan and full transcription will be added to the History archive next week.
